Tree mode - how can it be enabled?

Sorry for a stupid question, but how can I enable the Tree Mode in WinMerge?
I read about this new tree-view mode in WinMerge's changelog more than a month ago, but I had no chance to see it yet because all the menu items "Tree Mode", "Expand All Subfolders" and "Collapse All Subfolders" are always disabled (grayed)! What should I do to make it work? Do it work in some special mode only?

It is enabled only when you include subfolders to the compare.

Thank you, I see now it now! :) Also it can be enabled from command line with the "/r" switch.
However, I expected it could be enabled somewhere in menu: i.e. something like "View Subfolders in Tree-View" after comparison in "usual" mode.

Yep, switching to tree-mode from non-recursive compare is an interesting idea (I think this came up recently in some other discussion). There are some internal barriers for this in WinMerge (behavior is divided between recursive and non-recursive modes). But nothing that could not be fixed.

Enable recursive mode without command line:
Go to
Edit >> Options >> Shell Integration
and enable Include subfolders by default.
Next time you compare, all the files will be shown as in one folder. Then go to View and you could enable the Tree Mode.
