Multiple file pairs in the same Project?

Postby uscore713 » Wed Dec 14, 2016 1:38 pm

I just started using WinMerge and find it quite useful as a free tool.

In reading the manual about Projects, the text makes it appear that, when saving a Project, all open files (or, pairs of files) are saved in the Project. However, when I look at the created Project, only the last pair of files opened are saved.

I tried manually updated the Project to include two <paths> tags, but when I opened the Project, only the last <paths> element was used.

Am I doing something wrong, or are Projects limited to only a single pair of files?

Hello,

I have the EXACT same issue and question. I found yours via a web search.

Like you, I was excited to see the "Project" capability. And like you, reading the docs I took the description of the .WinMerge project file to mean it was capable of listing multiple files.

But it seems this is not the case. I cannot imagine this is actually a true limitation! Surely we must be doing something wrong? A project can only contain ONE FILE??

But I see that nobody has replied here in 2 months. Bummer.

Is there someone who can answer our question? Thank you...
