Remove Windows encryption

Hi,

I have a PC from a company. For security reasons, all my data is encrypted with the Encrypting File System (EFS) from Windows (I have XP). I often use WinMerge for syncing my data from the PC (say, in D:) to an external hard drive (say, in F:). I do not want data in the hard drive to be encrypted. When I copy files from D: to F: with the Windows Explorer, it knows that it is an external hard drive and then it asks me for confirmation to remove the encryption. But when I copy files with WinMerge, the encryption is not removed. Then, data is not accessible in any other PC.

Is there any way of getting WinMerge to recognize the external hard drive, and remove EFS encryption when copying?

Thanks.
