I'm tryng to compare the files from folders on OneDrive and my Samsung Galaxy S9+. I can't open the Onedrive folder, but when I select the folder from my phone, I get the message: "Folder Selection. File not found. Check the filename and try again" (this is a free translation from the portuguese original message: "Seleção de pastas. Arquivo não encontrado. Verifique o nome do arquivo e tente novamente" ).

Hi rmrocha5015,
Here are the troubleshooting steps I take when I experience files that won't open on my Android:
1. Try opening the file directly from the Sheets app, NOT the Drive app.
2. Reboot the phone. (Try again.)
3. Clear the app cache, both the Drive app and the Sheets app. (Try again.)
4. Uninstall the Drive and Sheets apps, restart, reinstall apps. (Try again.)
That is normally enough to get things working.

I don't use onedrive but it sounds like it's your problem (maybe winmerge cannot pass the credentials or something alike)

What if you copy (using windows explorer) your onedrive files to a local (temporary) folder and compare from there ?

Or if you feel it's the samsung that causes probleme then copy samsung files to a local (temporary) folder and compare from there.

If local (samsung) vs local (onedrive) doesn't work then  you're doomed
if samsung vs local (onedrive) doesn't work then it means winmerge has a problem with mounting android filesystem
if local (samsung) vs onedrive doesn't work then it means winmerge has a problem with mounting onedrive filesystem

I already did it and I'm compairing files only from notebook. It's not the proper way, but it works.

Can you explain how you did it? I have a similar issue and would try your method when I gate back to my home in Portugal here tonight. I would really appreciate your help.

I copied the whole cellphone folder to my laptop and then I compared with the one that was already on the laptop.

Hello,
If your file still won’t open, a few things could be wrong:
You don’t have permission to view the file.
You're signed in to a Google Account that doesn’t have access.
The correct app isn’t installed on your phone.
Or you can take help from this site.

Hope this helped....

Regards,
