not enough memory

I recently downloaded a paid for Video Studio Pro X3. Copied it to a DVD with NERO SmartStart and tried to install from the DVD. Briefly, it "trashed" my Bios and a re-boot was not possible until I took courage and sorted out the Bios. I then decided to check if the HDD download was the same as that on DVD using WinMerge. I received an "out of memory" memory message. The app did install from the HDD download. I have an Intel i5 something, Win 7 Pro 64 bit and 8 Gig of memory - VideoStudio Pro X3 is around 1G2 butes. I copied VSPX3 back to another HDD folder and as a test, I allowed it to start installing so the DVD file seems OK. I also used an "Old I think, but very good" free disc-burner, CDBurnerXP with checking facility activated and the DVD file matched the HDD file.

Can anyone shed light please as the RAM usage app indicated only around 25%?
