No, definitely not. I don't want to throw away all the work done for current trunk (experimental versions). I want to release new stable series. And have bug fixes to stable versions as before. But I don't think there will be much of trunk development after next stable branch gets created. Unless of course some new people step up and start contributing...

Well, new QT-based project needs also compare infrastructure, and it might be a good idea to first try to get the infrastructure working in current WinMerge. Its much easier to take already proven code to use. But then I'm not sure I agree with your ideas of compare classes. Not at least what you last time wrote to some tracker items.

We've been doing that for last 7 years, so? And also been getting lots of regressions. It can be done but it is very slow and we simply don't have the resources.
