Converted project files to VS2005

Postby kimmov » Mon Dec 21, 2009 5:56 pm

I've just committed a change to SVN trunk to convert all our project files to VS2005 format. The fact is I don't have anymore access to computer with VS2003 so I cannot update project files in that format. And as I cannot build either it is just waste of time to try to keep it supported.

Obviously I'm not testing building with VS2003 anymore. So building with it may break even if you maintain project files for its format. I'm not breaking anything intentionally though and if somebody sees a breakage and submits a fix it will likely be committed.

But I think in practice this means that supported compilers for now on are VS2005 and VS008 (and VS2010 once I have time to test it).

Just in case anybody cares, VS2008/2010 express editions seem to work pretty well with MFC71, albeit after a few changes in .h/.inl files.

I also noticed (and could hardly believe) that VS2010 installs its runtime DLLs to %windir%\System32 again.
