parallelization of folder comparision

Hi all out there,

everytime I start folder-comparison (a very huge one on a very fast computer), I notice that there is only one proces collecting all files and doing the comparision. I think, it is possible to this very faster with multiple threads, because all folders are located on SolidState-Disks.

I searched the forum for parallelization, openMP, thead support e.t.c., but could not find anything about that.

Just, how do you think about that?

PS.: Sorry for my bad english - Ich gelobe Besserung

Hi DaneilKevin,

what do you mean? Give me a try. I want winmerge starts multiple threads. So that the comparison of two directories gets faster. The hard disk and the CPU are not saturated in the moment.

The feature is implemented in WinMerge 0.2011.003.511 (https://bitbucket.org/jtuc/winmerge2011/downloads).
