Comparison of folder contents, only file names.

I am new to WinMerge.

Is WinMerge able to do the following:
I have 2 folders, which contains files. I want to compare these to eachothers, but only on filenames. So, no comparison on filename extension, date/time, size, contents, etc.

Pretty simple scenario... Is WinMerge able to do that? If so, how?

Thanks,

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it can't. If I'm understanding you correctly, this is what you want:

DIR 1 Contents:
File 1.txt
File 2.jpg
File 3.exe
File 4.ini

DIR 2 Contents:
File 1.jpg
File 3.exe
File 4.txt

Results:
Differences:
File 2

With files 1, 3, & 4 being ignored, despite being different file types and having different content, because you only care to see what differences there are in the actual file names. Is that correct? If so, that's fairly easy to do, just not with WinMerge, and I could help you, though I am curious what your goal/reasoning is, i.e. what exactly you're trying to accomplish. If that's not what you're trying to do, can you be more specific?
