Memory leak

I am comparing two folders filled with MP4 files and other much smaller files.

I don't want to know what is the difference within the files, I just need to know it the are equal or not and if they are missing one way or the other.

The compare method I choose is binary content.

It does what I need but there seems to be a memory leak because allocated RAM keeps growing until it occupies my 16Gig memory. Have in mind that this happens even if no difference is found.

Am I doing something wrong?

This is what I found.

It happens with binary and full contents method.

After quitting WinMerge, the memory stays occupied.

The test was made on two USB 3.0 external SATA drives.

The memory is released when drives are disconnected.

The same type of operation with TeraCopy does not show any problem.
